Last week, mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced the launch of a new flagship handset running under Google's Android operating system, namely the HTC Desire HD, and new info on its availability on the market emerged.

To be more specific, we're referring to the announcement made by VHA, which unveiled the fact that the new device should be delivered to the market in Australia on the airwaves of Vodafone and 3.

“Following HTC’s global announcement in London, VHA announces today that the HTC Desire HD will launch exclusively through Vodafone and 3. Pricing and availability will be announced closer to the launch date,” a post on Vodafone Australia's blog reads.

The new mobile phone comes with a large 4.3'' touchscreen display, complemented by a fast 1GHz Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor, and an 8-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities.

“We are pleased that we are expanding our partnership with VHA in the Australian market with the launch of the HTC Desire HD on the Vodafone and 3 mobile network,” said Anthony Petts, Sales and Marketing Director ANZ, HTC Corporation.

According to him, the new device should be released on Vodafone and 3's airwaves later during the ongoing year, bringing the new HTC Sense experience to a larger number of end-users.

“The device showcases some innovative new features including enhanced multimedia content for a truly stunning visual experience, a fast 1GHz Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor, and HTC Fast Boot that enables users to quickly make a call or check emails even faster,” Petts stated.

According to Ross Parker, General Manager of Devices and Pricing, VHA, customers on Vodafone and 3 should soon be able to enjoy a highly anticipated, powerful Android-based mobile phone.

“VHA is excited to be the exclusive carrier for the HTC Desire HD, an outstanding and stylish Android device that brings further strength to our current Android range,” he added.
