Fastweb, the leading alternative broadband supplier of Italy, and Vodafone Italy have signed a deal, so that Vodafone customers, besides using the default services provided by the carrier, will be able to access Fastweb's up to 20Mbps broadband network, with a coverage area of almost half the country's population, through a high-speed ADSL modem.

The service is supposed to be branded Casa Fastweb, and will be purchasable by the customers in two forms (contract and pre-paid), based on the Vodafone Casa's sub-services Vodafone Casa Zero and Infinity Casa (a substitution service that enables the users to buy a number of minutes for a specified fee).

This announcement is an expected follow-up, after the previous ones from Vodafone UK and Vodafone Germany, which have also launched fixed broadband services, in a period of not more then two weeks, from 1st September to 11th September. All these moves made by Vodafone's different branches conduct to the strategy deployed by the Vodafone Group during the last years, through which they try to satisfy every need that their customers might have.
