If we think about the success games in The Sims franchise had, and the huge aura of anticipation that surrounds Spore - two life sim titles - we could say that these kind of games are bound to bring in the cash for the developers. Let's be honest: the mere concept of "life simulation" sounds absolutely awesome and everybody would be tempted to give it a go and try to create a better life for his or her character.

Reflective Layer is the company that tries to offer an alternative to our real lives and it has launched SilkWood Spring, a game that comes, at least, with a really interesting concept. The player will control one of "The Elders" - Elder No. 6, to be more precise - and tries to make everything as good as possible for the poor soul. The interesting twist comes from the fact that the player controls the actions of the Elder through a 24 hour real-time scheduler, while the weather is based on downloaded real-world weather. So a real life sim, we can say.

The mission of Elder No.6 sounds easy: he has to find the lost home of the Six Elders. But, while you try to achieve this goal, you will also have to take into consideration the physical and mental health of your character. In order to do this, you will be able to assign different timeslots for the Elder and you can tell him to work, eat, sleep, watch TV and do many other things.

SilkWood Spring promises to come with a complex biology in which the Elder must maintain his body temperature - and this is influenced by the food he eats and, of course, the weather conditions. Also, your general health can be disrupted by diseases and if you can't take good care of your character, it can even go into coma.

If you agree with us and consider that this title sounds at least interesting, you can go check SilkWood Spring's official website - the same place where you can get a playable demo and order your copy of the game, for only $11.50.
