It would seem that Notion Ink was not totally idle during the holidays, or the period prior to Christmas, as it provided a sort of present for those rooting for its Adam tablet, in the shape of some public videos.

The Adam tablet that notion ink is getting ready to launch has been the subject of some debate over the past few weeks.

While it promised good multimedia performance and has been on pre-order for a while, there were concerns about it because its maker hadn't actually demoed what the Adam could do.

Later, it was found that, even though just one video demo was made public, pre-orders sold out fully just days later, once again showing just how popular tablets already are.

It now seems that, either during Christmas or just before, Notion Ink recorded some videos of the slate's functionality.

What the company did its best to show off was the streaming capability via HDMI, along with how well its browser runs.

One of the videos even had the tablet tested under the Rightware BrowserMark benchmarking tool, where it got a score of 51,049.

All things considered, that is a fairly impressive figure, since the Nexus One manages 23,726 and the iPad 38,620 points.

What's more, Notion Ink revealed how the tablet could be used to substitute for a digitizer tablet, by means of the WiFi connection.

Basically, the Adam, while it lacks an active digitizer (like the Wacom tablet, for instance), it boasts a 10.1-inch capacitive screen that can be used as a huge trackpad.

Drawing with a capacitive stylus is supported, for example, and USB modems should also work with the slate, provided Android drivers exist.

All in all, Notion Ink is definitely doing its best to promote its device for when it starts shipping, sometime between 15 and 22 January, 2011.
