14 DAY TRIAL // Ever since before Nicki Minaj was confirmed as judge on the brand new season of American Idol, there’s been a lot of talk about how she and Mariah Carey would never get along because they firmly hated each other. The video below confirms that they don’t really see eye to eye.
This is not the first time that this so-called feud puts a damper on auditions, as we also reported a while back. This time, it all went down in Charlotte, North Carolina this week.
Various reports say that the vicious verbal spat started when Mariah kept nagging Nicki because they couldn’t agree on some of the performances they’d seen.
In the end, Nicki blew a fuse and lashed out at Mariah in a very foul-mouthed rant, part of which was captured on tape and you will find embedded below, at the end of this article.
“Get this [expletive] in self control. Get in control. Get in control. […] Don't tell me I'm a gangster,” Nicki is heard saying, as transcribed by TMZ.
“Every 5 minutes. So every time you patronize me, I'm-ma take it back, and if you've got a [expletive]-ing problem, handle it,” Nicki says.
Though she’s not looking at Mariah, various reports online say that she’s definitely talking about her. At one point, Nicki also says “I’m gonna knock you out.”
“I told them I'm not [expletive]-in' putting up with her [expletive]-ing highness over there. Figure it the [expletive] out. Figure it out,” she says, adding that she’s sick of being “harassed” every minute of every single day.
ThatGrapeJuice has even more of the barely audible spat. Mariah too didn’t give in, and even reproached Nicki that she was keeping her away from her twins.
“Oh, why, why, why do I have a three year old sitting around me? I can’t see my kids because you decided to act like a little crazy [expletive] and go all around the stage,” Mariah says.
To this, Nicki replies that Mariah is free to go as she pleases. Moreover, no one will actually miss her because she’s “boring as [expletive].”
Producers of American Idol insist there’s no feuding between the two and that they’re getting along exceptionally, so either they’re not telling the whole truth or this was a one-time incident.
