One of the high-end appealing Android-based smartphones that should make it to Verizon Wireless' network in the not too far future would be the HTC Incredible 2, a device that can be seen in a new set of photos recently leaked into the wild with it. The new mobile phone should arrive at Verizon as the successor of the already popular HTC Incredible, which was released about a year ago on the carrier's airwaves, and which disappeared from stock not too long ago.

The Incredible 2 was rumored to be Verizon's version of the HTC Incredible S, which was officially introduced during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, in mid-February.

The new device comes with the same looks as the Incredible S, except maybe for the Verizon logo placed on its front, as the photos available courtesy of Android Central show.

Other that that, we should expect for the new mobile phone to include all of the features that HTC unveiled for the Incredible S in February, such as the 1GHz Snapdragon application processor, or the 768MB of RAM.

At the same time, the new mobile phone is expected to land on shelves with a 4-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution, as well as with Intelligent buttons that rotate along with the phone.

Other specifications of this device would include 1.1GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for additional storage space, or a 1450mAh battery.

The handset comes with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with dual LED flash, as can be seen in the second photo below, as well as with a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front to enable video chat capabilities.

WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity should also be included into the mix, as well as 3G capabilities, and a built-in GPS receiver with support for Google Maps. The phone would also support other Google Mobile services, as well as applications from the Android Market.

Until now, Verizon was mum on this device, and nothing was confirmed on its landing, but rumor has it that it could be released before the end of April.
