One of the mobile phones that should find a spot on shelves at Verizon Wireless in the near future would be the HP Pre 3, which has just passed through the Federal Communications Commission courtyard.

Hewlett-Packard’s upcoming flagship smartphone was already unveiled to the world, but no specific info on when it might arrive on shelves at Big Red emerged for the time being.

However, it seems that it should not be too long before the mobile phone becomes official at the wireless carrier.

The CDMA-capable flavor of the mobile phone has just received the necessary FCC approvals, and should arrive at Verizon with global connectivity options, it seems.

According to the available documents, it would include both CDMA and GSM capabilities when made available for purchase, so that users can enjoy its capabilities even when abroad.

Quad-band GSM and WCDMA 900 / 2100 radios for roaming in Europe were packed with the mobile phone, in addition to the necessary CDMA frequencies to make it fit for Verizon's network.

Provided that the handset would indeed arrive at Verizon with these connectivity options on board, it would be the first world phone flavor of the webOS device to hit the US market.

One other thing that should be noted here is that HP/Palm did not announce that the handset would arrive on shelves with global roaming features on board, as phonescoop notes in a recent article.

The GSM variant of HTC Pre 3 was already spotted at FCC on its way to AT&T.

Based on the latest flavor of HP's webOS operating system, the Pre 3 was expected to prove one of the most appealing handsets on the market when unveiled to the world, but HP seems to be taking its time with the phone's release.

With HP Veer almost on shelves, we can only hope that the Pre 3 would arrive on the market soon as well, so stay tuned for more on this.
