A New 4G-capable (HSPA+) device is set to make an appearance on the airwaves of AT&T in the near future, the small HP Veer 4G, which runs under HP's webOS, and which should be released on shelves with a price tag of $99.99 attached to it.

Although it sports a small form factor, the new device is capable of offering enhanced performance capabilities, courtesy of a 800Mhz processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7230) is was packed with.

The mobile phone comes with a 2.6-inch multi-touch display that can deliver a 320 x 400 pixel resolution, as well as with a slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard.

It includes 8GB of internal storage (~6.1GB available), a 910 mAh battery that can deliver up to 5.0 hours of talk time or up to 300 hours of standby time, and weighs in at 3.63 ounces.

It also comes with Wi-Fi/aGPS capabilities, Stereo Bluetooth (2.1), and Quad-band GSM/EDGE, Tri-band UMTS: 850/1900/2100; HSDPA Cat 10/HSUPA Cat 6 connectivity capabilities.

On the back, the mobile phone sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with extended depth of field, geo-tagging, and video capture.

Other features of the new device would include the webOS WebKit browser with Flash support, Email and integrated IM, SMS and MMS, Facebook integration, YouTube, and more.

“HP Veer 4G comes preloaded with several popular apps including mobile hotspot and AT&T Navigator,” the wireless carrier announced.

“The mobile hotspot functionality allows users to share wireless internet connectivity with up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices while AT&T Navigator a GPS-enabled navigation service, is designed to provide you with clear and precise audible and visual turn-by-turn driving directions, including full-color moving maps, using GPS directly from your wireless phone.”

On top of that, the mobile phone comes with support for applications available via the webOS App Catalog, including social networking, health and fitness, productivity, finance, games, and more.

“With Veer, customers are able to keep multiple apps open at once and easily switch back and forth between them. Purchasing apps is now even easier with the addition of carrier billing. Customers can now buy apps on their phone and have it added to their monthly bill with just a tap,” the company notes.
