Another rumor regarding the release date of Samsung Galaxy Nexus on the airwaves of Verizon Wireless has just emerged, placing the launch date on December 9th, only three days from now.

Some newly leaked documents from the wireless carrier unveiled this, yet nothing has been officially confirmed so far.

According to the said documents, Verizon will begin shipping orders to stores as soon as today, while the device is set to be put up for sale on Friday.

The new rumor is in line with some of the previous reports that pinned Galaxy Nexus’ release date to December 8th or 9th; yet, we should wait for a formal announcement on this to be made before marking the day in our calendars.

For the past month, we have seen a good deal of rumors regarding the release date of Galaxy Nexus on Verizon’s network, yet none of them panned out so far.

While the US release date of the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device in the world is shrouded in mystery, one thing is certain about the smartphone: it will not offer support for Google Wallet when made available.

Google has already confirmed this, Computerworld notes in a recent article, so there is not much that we can say about this, it seems.

Verizon was the one who decided this, it seems, as the carrier is working on its own NFC payment service and does not want to mix the two.

The good news is that, although Verizon chose to install a series of its own applications on the mobile phone, users will be able to set the device not to show them. Ice Cream Sandwich can hide pre-loaded apps, it seems.

For the time being, the one thing that remains unknown is when the device might hit shelves at the wireless carrier and how much users will have to get out of their pockets for it.
