Finally, after a while when plenty of rumors circulated on Motorola's Krave ZN4, yesterday, Verizon Wireless announced its exclusive availability, so now customers can get their hands on the new handset.

The Motorola Krave ZN4 features two layers of touch, one being an interactive clear flip outside, and the other one the full touchscreen inside. When the flip is closed, users have one-touch access to the camera, picture gallery, live TV, music, VZ navigator, while also being able to view pictures and text messages.

With the flip open, users will have access to the full menu of the phone. The Haptic technology provides sensory feedback, so that users can make sure the touch was registered. However, there is yet another advantage to the clear flip design, in that it's easy to make phone calls while preventing touchscreen wear, while a side lock key prevents accidental use.

“Motorola Krave is uncompromising. It delivers high-quality multimedia experiences while remaining true to the way consumers expect a phone to work and feel,” the Vice President of Motorola Mobile Devices, Ken Hallman said. “The clear, touch-enabled flip over the large, high-resolution touch-screen is nothing like you’ve seen and yet it’s totally intuitive.”

With the Motorola Krave, users will also have full access to all of the multimedia services that Verizon Wireless provides, including V CAST Mobile TV, V CAST Video, V CAST Music with Rhapsody and VZ Navigator.

The phone features a 2.8-inch, 240 x 400, 65K TFT display, flip, 240 x 320 resolution display, a 2 megapixel camera with digital zoom and fixed focus, and supports up to 8GB of memory through the microSD card slot, aside from the 130MB user available memory. The Motorola Krave ZN4 also offers users a virtual landscape QWERTY keypad with haptic feedback.
