Apparently, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless knows that the HTC ThunderBolt is now available, thought he smartphone is nowhere to be seen on shelves in the United States.

According to a picture of a flyer coming from the wireless carrier, the Android-based 4G LTE-capable smartphone should be available right now, but the company has yet to put it on sale.

Those who would head over the wireless carrier's website to learn more on the handset would be informed that it “strikes soon,” and would be offered the possibility to register to receive updates on its availability.

As previously reported, the HTC ThunderBolt was pushed back over various issues that Verizon encountered with its LTE smartphones, but a specific release date for it was not unveiled for the time being.

However, the aforementioned flyer suggests that the device is available now, which is certainly the result of a mix-up between the carriers employees.

This is the flyer that is currently arrive at homes of Verizon customers, Droid-life notes in a recent article, which suggests that the carrier was indeed expecting the smartphone to be out by now.

But things are a little different, as the smartphone was pushed back (some suggested that due to Apple iPad 2's arrival tomorrow) to an unknown date during the first half of the ongoing year.

According to Verizon, it would be able to make its LTE smartphones available for purchase before the end of the second quarter of the year, though the carrier did not commit to a specific release date as of yet.

The company did not explain what caused the launch delays either, though some suggested the battery life of ThunderBolt might have been the main reason for it.

Hopefully, the mobile phone carrier would indeed manage to overcome any issues it met with the 4G LTE smartphones it plans on launching on its airwaves, and that these devices would arrive on the market sooner rather than later.
