Today, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless announced the release of a new service for its customers, namely Mobile Email 4.0, which is being pushed to those users interested in having their corporate and personal e-mail on one device. According to the wireless services provider, Mobile Email 4.0 is being released as an improvement for the existing Mobile Email solution, and should enable customers access their email accounts on a wider range of feature phones.

The service was made available on more handsets than before, and the list would include at the moment devices like the LG Octane, LG Cosmos Touch and Samsung Zeal, as well as other phones.

Through Mobile Email 4.0, Verizon customers would enjoy an enhanced experience from their data plans, while also benefiting from more value for their money.

Some of the main new features added to Mobile Email would include: Advantage of True Push Experience: E-mails are automatically pushed to customers’ devices, meaning customers stay on top of all their e-mails without needing to refresh.

Microsoft Exchange Email: Integration with personal and corporate e-mail on a single device, including aggregated personal and work contacts. Customers have all of their contacts in one place to stay connected to everyone.

New User Interface: Provides customers with a fully redesigned interface, including a sleek new look and easy navigation. Users will also be able to upload attachments from their My Pix folder or memory card, allowing them to share moments with family and friends wherever they are.

Outlook Calendar Sync: Customers can balance their personal and business schedule since they can keep track of all appointments in a single device.

According to the wireless carrier, in case there are customers who might have not downloaded the upgrade, but who are already using the previous version of the software solution, they would be notified via an SMS message to download it.

Verizon users can enjoy the Mobile Email application for a monthly fee of $5 with a Pay as You Go data option, as well as included in data packages that are $15 or higher.
