The carrier that introduced almost a year ago its first 4G LTE services in the United State, Verizon Wireless has just announced its network now covers more than 186 million Americans.

At the time of the launch, Verizon revealed its plans to roll out its 4G LTE network coverage to more than 185 million Americans by the end of 2011.

Starting with a 4G LTE network coverage in 38 cities and services available to around 110 million Americans, the carrier managed to achieve its goal ahead of schedule.

As soon the the carrier fired up its 4G LTE network in 22 new markets including Green Bay, Wis. and Buffalo, NY on Thursday, October 20, Verizon surpassed its goal with more than two months left until the end of the year.

However, the carrier doesn't want to slow down and announced more plans to expand its 4G LTE network coverage in additional cities.

According to Verizon, in the next two months the carrier plans to introduce 4G LTE services in no less than thirteen cities, including Kansas City, Mo. and Roanoke, Va.

Hopefully, Americans living in these cities will have access to Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network no later than November 17.

The latest November expansion will bring the number of cities where Verizon's 4G LTE network is available to 178 for the year.

Moreover, the carrier has yet to make any announcement regarding 4G LTE network expansion plans for the last month of the year.

15 new LTE-enabled devices have been announced as well, to offer customers a wider range of products in line with the rapid expansion of its 4G LTE network.

An array of 4G LTE-enabled devices, ranging from notebooks and netbooks, hotspots, modems, tablets and smartphones are now available for purchase, including the new Motorola's DROID RAZR and Samsung's Stratosphere.
