Eddie Swartz has joined Verizon Enterprise Solutions as the company’s new vice president of global security solutions. Previously, Swartz has worked as chief information security officer at RSA.

At Verizon, the expert will be tasked with overseeing and accelerating the integration of security services in the company’s cybersecurity solutions.

The investigative and research team that’s responsible for Verizon’s Data Breach Investigations Report will be overseen by Swartz.

Verizon’s Chief Platform Officer David Small stated, “Eddie’s more than 25 years of information security leadership and entrepreneurial experience will help distinguish Verizon throughout the industries we serve.”

He added, “I am confident his extensive experience solving the most challenging cyberproblems for clients in the government and commercial sectors, along with his industry reputation and background of leading global cybersecurity innovation and information risk management teams and programs will be an asset for growing our security solutions business.”

Swartz isn't the only one leaving RSA. On Tuesday, we learned that Ann Johnson was leaving the company to join Qualys.
