Cloud-based security solutions provider Qualys has appointed Ann Johnson as the company’s new president and chief operating officer. Johnson will assume her responsibilities starting with November 25.

Johnson has previously occupied a number of positions at RSA, the security division of EMC. Her most recent role was VP of Worldwide Sales, Identity Protection and Verification and Global Accounts.

As president and COO of Qualys, she will be responsible with leading business development efforts, global sales, and customer relations and support.

“Qualys has built an impressive security and compliance cloud platform and gained a solid reputation for its ability to closely partner with customers, managed security service providers, outsourcers and security consulting firms to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions,” Johnson commented.

She believes this is the perfect moment to join Qualys since the industry is moving towards cloud computing and security is becoming a priority for many organizations.
