14 DAY TRIAL // It’s been some time since Vanessa Paradis has been hounded by the paparazzi but, since rumors started making the rounds yesterday that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are engaged, they were bound to be on her trail immediately. And boy, were they in for a surprise.
These days, the French star, known both for her work in film, music, and in fashion is no longer sporting her trademark sleek ‘do. As you can see in the image attached to this article, at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week, she sported long brown hair with some light highlights.
She went a bit lighter over the summer – so light she almost passed for a blonde.
Today, Vanessa is rocking a very cute and chic short ‘do, with curly dark hair. The change is so drastic she’s barely recognizable, as the Daily Mail also points out. It also provides plenty of paparazzi shots of Vanessa’s makeover.
“The actress and singer looked happy and relaxed as she revealed her new look on a lunch trip with her hairstylist pal John Nollet on Wednesday. The couple, who are both French, appeared to be deep in conversation as they sat in the shade on the patio at Aroma Cafe, in Los Angeles, on a hot day,” the publication says.
The tab says it was probably Nollet who gave her the makeover, perhaps even encouraging her to get a “fresh start.” Nollet is also the hairstylist who got Vanessa’s ex-partner Johnny Depp in full Captain Jack Sparrow mode for the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films, creating his trademark dreads.
It is not known if Vanessa got the new hairstyle for a movie or if it’s something she wanted to try out. Either way, she’s rocking it.
However, because of the aforementioned, recent engagement rumors between Depp and girlfriend Amber Heard, you should probably expect to hear that Vanessa got the makeover as some sort of revenge on Johnny or to “wash him out of her hair,” as one saying goes.
Depp and Vanessa were together for over 13 years and have 2 children together. Reports would have it that he never proposed to her even though she would have liked to get married, because he didn’t like the idea of being legally tied down to just one person.
