Valeria Lukyanova has an extensive new interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, in which she tries to invite her fans into her strange and strangely fascinating world. Though she’s known as the Human Barbie, she insists that she hates being called that because she finds it “degrading,” and she explains that she’s not putting herself out there to be famous but to help people attain balance and harmony.

Valeria calls herself a spiritual guru, an alien being trapped in a human body, who has mastered the art of out of body travels and can teach them to others as well. For someone so in tune with her spiritual side and so concerned with the spirituality of others, she sure spends a lot of time focusing on the body she is “trapped” in.

Insane workouts explain doll-like figure

Saying that she spends “a lot” of time stressing over her body is no understatement either, as she admits in the Cosmopolitan chat, conducted via Skype and email: as per her own admission, Valeria works out for 6 full hours a day, every day of the week.

Asked about her routine, she “excuses” herself by saying that she’s on vacation, so she can follow up the hour of her morning jog by “only” 3 hours at the gym. Usually, when she’s at home, she spends 6 full hours there, divided into 2 sessions, one in the morning and one in the evening.

Valeria is not a professional athlete and she’s not in any kind of business that would require this kind of intensive training. She is a model, though she models nothing in particular since she’s an Internet star. She rose to fame about 3 years ago as the world’s most creeptastic Human Barbie, a comparison that persists to this day.

Don’t be too quick to judge, though. “For me, it is normal,” she adds, “[like how] other people brush their teeth and take a shower. For me, it is necessary to engage in weight-lifting. It's part of me. It's my lifestyle. I do not see myself without sport. It's sort of [a] pleasure for me. My body thanks me for constant training and an increase in strength.”

Fully raw vegan diet

Previously, Valeria had told the media that she was on a diet “of light and air,” when asked if she was following a strict plan in order to maintain her Barbie-like proportions. Many thought she was starving herself, but she insisted that this wasn’t what she meant by it, but rather that her spiritual side was so strong that she no longer needed actual sustenance to survive. Which is kind of like saying she was starving, but in nicer words.

She admits now that “maybe” she was starving herself at the time, but she’s past that now. She swears by a fully raw vegan diet in this new interview, even expressing her wish that more people would consider the switch, for the sake of our beloved planet.

Such a diet, combined with the intense workouts she says she’s doing, would account for the newly defined abs she showed off in a Facebook post earlier this year (see photo attached to this article).

At the time, she also said she was weight lifting to get the body of an Amazon Queen, her inspiration.
