Owners of Android-based smartphones should soon be able to enjoy yet another appealing application, namely VSCO Cam, which has just entered the beta testing period, although only with support for a small number of handsets.

Already available for iPhone users, VSCO Cam comes with a simple yet stylish interface, providing users with fast access to features such as focus and exposure settings, while also allowing them to snap pictures with ease.

The team of developers behind the application has already announced the private beta testing program for the Android version, but has unveiled that only Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S4, and HTC One are supported at the moment.

“We have been hard at work creating VSCO Cam for Android. But before we release it to the masses, we need your help. We are in search of beta testers who love mobile photography and Android devices,” the company notes on its website.

“Beta testing is not always glamorous but is required to provide the Android photography community with the best VSCO Cam possible. We are looking for dedicated, passionate people who can test the app, find bugs and provide constructive feedback.”

Provided that things go well, the application should soon receive support for more smartphones (as long as they run under Android 4.0 or newer platform flavors), though The Verge notes that only high-end models are expected to receive it.

At the moment, users interested in trying the application can head over to VSCO’s website to submit their devices, provided that they do not own one of the aforementioned three smartphones, in which case they will be able to download VSCO Cam.

For the time being, however, no specific info on when the application will be released in a final flavor has been provided, but more might be unveiled in the not too distant future, so stay tuned for additional details.
