As promised, we're now back with some additional info pertaining to Samsung's 3D display solutions, or at least some of the very important accessories typically associated to them, namely 3D video glasses.

Some of you might remember that, back at CES 2011, the Korean company showcased a couple of redesigned 3D glasses, that it's now pushing onto the market, starting with the SSG-3700CR, touted as being the world's lightest 3D glasses (at just an ounce), but also capable of delivering an enhanced level of comfort via their flexible ‘legs’ and nose pad.

As an extra, these glasses even allow users to add their own prescription lenses, making them a very good solution for people with various vision impairments, but this also explains their relatively high price point, of around 219 US dollars a pop.

Samsung also announced the SSG-3300CR, SSG-3300GR and SSG-3100GR 3D glasses, all of which offer a reduced LCD response time, power-saving features, as well as a battery indicator on either side of the glasses.

Targeting various consumer categories, these new active shutter 3D glasses are not exactly affordable, selling for 179 US dollars (the SSG-3300CR and SSG-3300GR) and 130 US dollars, respectively, for the SSG-3100GR.

Beside the glasses themselves, Samsung also developed and introduced a new wireless charger, the CY-SWC1000A, designed to charge up to four rechargeable 3D active glasses at once, without requiring any wires in order to do so.

Of course, according to the Korean company, the charger delivers the same level of efficiency as normal, USB-based chargers, each pair of glasses charged with the help of this device having an estimated functioning life of up to 45 hours.

The CY-SWC1000A wireless charging station for 3D glasses has quite an attractive design (elegant, glossy black cylinder), and has been priced at around 200 US dollars.
