After being the first 3D equipment manufacturer to offer specialized 3D glasses for people requiring prescription glasses, Samsung has decided to prepare yet another very interesting surprise for CES 2011 and launched what really seem to be the world's lightest (and arguably, most elegant) 3D glasses. Developed together with Austrian luxury eyewear brand 'Silhouette', the new active 3D shutter glasses from Samsung weigh just around 28 grams, which makes them extremely easy to wear, according to SamsungTomorrow.

Furthermore, in order to enhance the level of comfort while in use, all the electronics required for the normal functioning of the 3D glasses being placed in the rear side, a feature that enables a higher level of balance between the rear and front sides, despite granting these things a fairly peculiar look.

And as if that wasn't enough, Samsung also promises that we can forget about needing to place the glasses on a charger in order to keep the batteries running, since their new 3D active shutter eyepieces will actually be able to recharge wirelessly (we're actually extremely curious to see just how that will go).

Plus, the glasses will also feature an adjustable fitting system, meaning that customers won't have to purchase separate, children-sized models, as was the case up until now.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to admit that they look a whole lot better than the previous 3D shutter glasses models we've come across up until now, which means that even those users for whom wearing a pair of glasses in order to enjoy a movie in 3D was out of the question might actually think twice before rejecting this new trend.

Of course, no details regarding the possible pricing and availability for these things have been provided just yet, but we certainly hope to find out more on this topic in the near future.
