What's next, launch or leak?

It's probably the piece of news of the day and something we've been expecting for a long time and, yes ladies and gents, Unreal Tournament 3 has finally reached gold status. This means that the game is finished, done with, ready and copies are being made right now in the duplicating facilities of the producer and they'll be arriving just in time for the November 19 launch. This date only regards the PC version's launch, because the PS3 title will be available soon afterwards.

Midway and Epic made this good news available today as they're ready to once again achieve the blockbuster status with their top-selling franchise and its latest installment. UT3 finally becomes a pioneer on the PS3 as Sony's console hasn't dealt with such a popular FPS till now and it's time to put that calculus power and graphical abilities to the test. It's going to be an Unreal Engine 3 frenzy and if you've played the demo, you'll probably know what I'm talking about.

This fall has been the season of shooters, since Halo 3, Half Life 2: Episode Two, upcoming Crysis and UT 3 have delivered or will deliver neat experiences, that will remain unparalleled for a year or two or till their sequels come out. I'll tell you one thing: Unreal Tournament 3 is set to resurrect the passion for the not-so-popular anymore UT deathmatches that killed all servers a couple of years ago. Futuristic weapons, vehicles and human allies, that's all we need to feel the UT 3 experience that Midway and Epic have prepared for us.

Just don't spoil the wait and fun of playing this game with a leak...Since it's Halloween, that's probably the most horrific thing for Midway and Epic, an online leak of the game, more than two weeks before the official launch.
