Palm's Treo Pro has made an appearance on Best Buy, after being spotted last week on Sprint's website for a couple of hours. While the carrier stated on one occasion that the handset was listed on its site by mistake and that it was not ready for launch yet, the listing on Best Buy seems more palpable, although it shows a huge price difference compared to what we would have expected to see.

On Best Buy, Treo Pro 850 Black features a price of $699.99, contract free, which is a leveraged one, considering the fact that Sprint had the device on its site for only $549.99 with no contract. Best Buy states on the handset's page that it can make the delivery in about one or two weeks after the order has been placed.

Treo Pro is expected to launch on Sprint on February 15, which would be a little more than two weeks from now, so those willing to get their hands on the handset might want to consider waiting a while before acquiring it from the online retailer, for they could make a better deal this way. At the same time, the Best Buy listing is rather expected to be subject to change, so a little patience might prove to be worth it.

As many of you already know, Sprint Treo Pro comes to the market as a replacement for the 800w mobile phone, and the carrier will offer the first CDMA version of the device in the United States, while GSM models are already available around the country. The CDMA with EV-DO version of the QWERTY thumb-keyboard device has been long awaited, and it seems that it is finally getting close to its release date. The only thing to consider now is the way you'd like to purchase the handset, a little later from Sprint, making perhaps a better deal, or from Best Buy today, which would be a little more costly.
