Lately more and more consumer devices have gained Internet connectivity, so Trendnet has just announced a new wireless bridge, designed to connect your Ethernet-ready gaming console, network television or receiver to the web without requiring any wires to be set around your home.

The brand new TEW-640MB bridge will do so at 300Mbps, providing a high performance wireless connection for all networked media center devices while also coming with wireless encryption in order to protect your digital network.

Furthermore, setting up the device is as simple as possible, especially if the wireless router comes with a WPS button, the user only having to press the WPS button on his/her router, then the WPS button on the TEW-640MB, the two devices taking care of the rest of the setup process.

In the end, you will wind up with an encrypted wireless connection, Trendnet's bridge coming with Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna technology to eliminate wireless dead spots and improve signal quality.

As a result, Trendnet promises to deliver lag-free, high-speed wireless connectivity for all your Ethernat enabled devices, the TEW-640MB coming with four network ports.

"Following the tremendous success of our 300Mbps Wireless N Gaming Adapter, model TEW-647GA, we decided to build the foundation of the 300Mbps Wireless N Media Bridge with the same high performance chipset," stated Sonny Su, technology director for Trendnet.

"The TEW-640MB is truly the result of listening to our customers.

Users were saying that they absolutely loved the performance and the look of the TEW-647GA, but wanted more ports to connect all of their new media center devices to a high performance wireless connection.

I believe the TEW-640MB delivers on its promise and will be well received by the market," concluded the company's rep.

The Trendnet 300Mbps Wireless N Media Bridge, model TEW-640MB, is available right now, its recommended retail price being set at $69.99 US.
