Berbie has released the latest version of its route planning software application, TrailRunner, adding new abilities, as well as bug fixes. Among the new enhancements, Berbie points out to TrailRunner's ability to import and display lap information from your Garmin fitness device. Garmin, for its part, has updated Garmin ANT Agent to version 2.0.3, also available as a free download right here on our web site.

New in TrailRunner 1.9.1 is the ability to assign an entry to a diary in the import workout panel, as well as the aforementioned ability to import and display lap information from your Garmin fitness device. The route Download and Upload sections are now accessible under the Routes toolbar icon where you can switch between modes.

As users may remember, TrailRunner version 1.9.332 added support for the new Garmin ANT Agent, while the Garmin NAT Agent itself added support for the Garmin ForeRunner 50 and Garmin ForeRunner 405. Garmin ANT Agent 2.0.3 now adds support for updating Forerunner 405 firmware, as well as support for sending goals to Forerunner 405 from Garmin Connect. The fresh version also modifies 'Authorization OK' dialog for better visibility. According to Berbie, users must select the new importer in TrailRunner's Application Preferences, in order to benefit from this addition.

Note

TrailRunner is in prerelease state. All current releases of TrailRunner will run for about three months. Berbie urges users to update regularly to the most current version, as well as review and accept the License-Agreement that comes with the application, before using it.

TrailRunner versions above 1.6 (including the one available for download today) require Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard to run. The only remaining version supported on Tiger is TrailRunner 1.6. Both supported versions are available using the download link below.
