TrailRunner, the route-planning software application from Berbie, has received a new update, fixing a ton of bugs and adding two new features. Multiple enhancements have also been included with this stable release. The program, which integrates with the Nike + iPod gear, is free to download and use for any Mac user.

TrailRunner can calculate a route for the desired distance, and export directions onto the user's iPod. This way, users get detailed orientation, while keeping the workout going. In recent releases, the company introduced the ability to display collected workout data within the program, matching the recordings with routes created by users. TrailRunner integrates with nikeplus.com, the online community for the Nike SportBand, and the Apple Nike+ iPod Sport Kit running devices.

According to the changelog for TrailRunner version 1.9.332, Berbie has been hard at work on adding support for the new Garmin ANT Agent, which it did. For its part, the Garmin NAT Agent itself supports the Garmin ForeRunner 50 and Garmin ForeRunner 405. As the developer reveals, users must select the new importer in Application Preferences in order to benefit from this new addition. Also, the new TrailRunner adds copy and paste for diary entries.

Improvements include the updated Garmin GTC Importer, which now displays the list of stored workouts much quicker, while imported Workouts with no geographic information (but with a stored distance) can now be imported into the diary and keep the distance value persistent.

Also better, background tiles are now loaded with more concurrent threads, for faster loading. You can now copy and paste diary entries between different diaries. This helps you migrate an entry if you enter it into the wrong diary, according to Berbie. The history graph now displays data only based on the selected diary. Lastly, Berbie has fixed some problems with the selection restoration when switching between modes.

The remaining release notes contain information on the recently fixed bugs in TrailRunner, which you can check out here.
