Get ready for some tiny action

Racing games haven't been extremely original lately, as a lot of people held the tried-and-true recipe of EA's Need For Speed franchise as their favorite type of racing. But all that changed when Criterion launched Burnout Paradise, as it introduced a variety of new concepts as well as a stunning and detailed city filled with places to race, jump and, the most important and frequent event, crash.

Part of the success of the title was the fact that the development team brought new things to the game via Downloadable Content, and thus managed to increase its entertainment value while keeping the hype going around it. Important features such as the day and night cycle and new race events were introduced to the game for free via DLC, meaning that everyone could experience the best that the title had to offer.

We already saw a few weeks ago the Legendary Cars Pack appear on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, and now it seems that console owners will also get the chance to experience a more unique take on racing, as the Toy Cars pack will appear this Thursday for the two consoles.

Consisting of miniature versions of the most popular cars in the game, like the Carson GT Concept or the Hunter Takedown 4x4, the pack will deliver a very interesting experience as a lot of gamers will be eager to test out these small cars around the big Paradise City. While there is no information on price, according to the recent slip-up of the Xbox Live team, which placed the pack along with the Boost Specials one up for download a few weeks ago, the eight cars will go for 160 MS Points each, whereas the small version of the Firehawk motorcycle will cost 240, and the whole pack will reach the total of 1,000 MS Points.

Look forward to Thursday when Criterion will announce the full details on the pack; until then all we can do is look at the screenshots that the team has released with these toy cars.
