14 DAY TRIAL // Digital Products Division of Toshiba announced on Tuesday the launch of several new additions to its ultra-portable laptop PC line-up. Among the new releases, we find the Portege R600 as well as the Portege A600, a mainstream ultra-portable laptop PC. Besides other Portege, Satellite and Tecra mobile solutions, the company also announced the launch of Portege M800, which allows Toshiba to be involved in the fight against breast cancer.
The new Toshiba Portege R600 laptop PC is a 2.4 pound machine only 0.77 inch thin; it represents the company's ultimate ultra-portable laptop. As the manufacturer called it, the new mobile PC is an “engineering marvel”. The Portege R600 comes stacked with a range of new features, including Toshiba’s fourth-generation EasyGuard Technology with PC Health Monitor, an extended life battery, as well as an enhanced LED backlit transreflective display and a durable chassis.

The Portege A600 is an affordable 12.1-inch laptop PC that weighs 3.2 pounds and is only 1.18-inches thin. The machine has been designed especially as a high-quality, highly-reliable laptop PC able to fit the needs of mobile professionals. This machine can boost up to 7.5 hours of battery life and comes with an entire set of features as well. The Toshiba Portege A600 includes the EasyGuard Technology with PC Health Monitor as well as the Intel Centrino 2 processor technology.
