Toshiba's Digital Products Division has certainly had a busy day today, as it has not only introduced the latest additions to its Satellite Pro lineup of portable computers, but has also announced the 10th generation of Tablet PC, with the launch of the new Portege M750, a successor to the company's award-winning Portege M700. Unlike the first model, the new Portege M750 comes with a couple of new features and several technologies that, Toshiba hopes, will attract the attention of countless potential customers.

The company's new Portege M750 has been specifically designed for users working in areas such as education, legal, healthcare, financial planning and insurance. It comes with a 12.1-inch LED backlit display, capable of producing a super image quality and color saturation both indoors and outdoors. In addition, the 12.1-inch display has also been equipped with touchscreen capabilities, thus further enhancing the functionality of Toshiba's new Tablet PC.

As you probably expected, the new Portege M750 comes built on Intel's latest-generation mobile platform, Centrino 2, and is powered by an Intel processor with vPro Technology, allowing for an overall faster computing experience. Other features include Toshiba's fourth-generation EasyGuard Technology with PC Health Monitor, which helps users keep a close eye on the performance and health aspects of their system's hardware components. Users will also benefit from an integrated optical drive and webcam, all packed in one ultraportable system.

Performance-wise, you are looking at a system that will deliver a maximum of 2GB of DDR2 system memory, 160GB of storage space, wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity and Intel's GMA 4500MHD graphics card.

The system equips Microsoft's Windows Vista SP1 operating system, and is already available at a starting price tag of US$1,699, for a system that is powered by Intel's Core 2 Duo P8400. A better Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 CPU will take the Table PC's starting price tag up to US$1,799.
