14 DAY TRIAL // Owners of Toshiba's Thrive were given a reason to rejoice back in February, and then a reason to feel disgruntled a couple of months later, but they are finally getting what they were promised.
We said, right here, that Toshiba was going to roll out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system update to the 10-inch Thrive slate in spring.
The company never got around to it, unfortunately, but it was only a delay in the end.
Toshiba has finally completed and sent out the software, which pulls the version of the operating system from Android 3.x Honeycomb to Android 4.0.4.
Go here to see how to initiate the upgrade process, unless you rooted the slate, in which case you will have to wait until a modder tweaks the release.
We've heard nothing about the Thrive 7-inch, but we trust that Toshiba hasn't forgotten about it.
