Tablets are interesting enough to keep track of, especially when they change their name depending on the nation they sell in.

Toshiba's Excite series is an example of a tablet line that ships under a different brand in Japan.

Japan is the company's home market, and the Regza brand has more weight there.

The Excite Write has been revealed as Toshiba Regza A703 there already, while the Excite Pure has now been unmasked as Regza AT503.

The AT503 is a 10.1-inch slate like A703, but with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and only 1 GB of RAM. It also uses Tegra 3 instead of Tegra 4.

Other specs include 32 GB of memory and the tablet runs the Android 4.2 operating system (Jelly Bean).

Sales should already be happening for 49,800 JPY, which translates into $525 / €392 – 525, quite far from the $300 / €300 of the Excite Pure.
