The Tomb Raider franchise is one of the most popular series of video games out there, largely due to its main character, the lovely Lara Croft, who has been an icon for many gamers ever since she arrived in the first installment, but also thanks to the intricate and innovative puzzles that were very challenging.

With the latest title released being Tomb Raider: Underworld, the franchise isn't going through the best of times, as players have grown weary of the tomb raiding heroine and of her adventures, which, although they take her to some of the most exotic settings in the world, are filled with the same basic and sometimes annoying puzzles that need to be solved.

We've seen how sales of the title have disappointed its publisher, Eidos, resulting in layoffs being made at Crystal Dynamics, the developer of the game. Now though, in an effort to make the title attractive once more, the company has announced that it has entered the Xbox 360 Classics and PlayStation 3 Platinum Ranges and is already available for sale at just 19.99 pounds sterling in the UK.

Tomb Raider: Underworld takes Lara on even more mystical adventures as she must travel through locations such as the Mediterranean Sea, Thailand, Mexico and even the Artic Sea in order to find proof of the existence of the Norse underworld and the magical Hammer of Thor. On this perilous journey she must defeat enemies and solve various puzzles in order to uncover treasures and artifacts.

All in all, if you still haven't purchased this game or if you are still on the fence about buying it and giving Lara another try, 20 pounds is a very reasonable deal and will certainly generate quite a few copies to move and make Eidos a happier company.
