More games for girls will come in time for the holidays

It's always sweet and, at the same time, absolutely funny to know that beloved Disney characters can make it to videogames, even though not exactly as we'd like to see them (a bloody FPS called "Sleeping Beauty and the Flames from Hell" would be great, for example). One of the animated characters that will become reality in a video game will be the fairy Tinker Bell (OK, she will still be animated... but more real!). Naturally, it will be released on the only platform that could handle the fairy: Nintendo DS and of course it will hit stores just days before Christmas in order to make the biggest profit possible.

Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell is a game designed only for girls interested in controlling the popular fairy and exploring the world of Pixie Hollow, while interacting with the likes of Silvermist, Iridessa, Fawn and many more, resolving mini-quests and going through time-based activities (whatever that means).

"Disney Fairies has become a phenomenon all around the world," said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. "Bringing the game to DS allows fans to play as Tinker Bell and take the Fairies world everywhere they go, while having fun learning about the importance of creativity, teamwork and responsibility."

Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell features hundreds of clothes, dresses, costumes and shoes for your fairy - all of them fully customizable with all sorts of patterns, featuring hearts, flowers and other stuff only girls could probably completely enjoy. Basically, you will keep interacting with other fairies in an open-world like system, get all sorts of missions and medals as rewards for completing them (medals that, obviously, can be turned into even more clothes or customization options) and so on. A nice thing about it is the fact that it utilizes the DS' clock and thus the environments will reflect the real time of the day.
