Chris Brown has undoubtedly felt the backlash for his short fuse after the February 8 incident, when he lost whatever temper he still had and beat then-girlfriend Rihanna to a pulp. Despite signs to the contrary, it seems that the backlash still continues, with famed singer and producer Timbaland dropping him from a track that will be included on his next album because of the “drama” that surrounds him, as TMZ has learned.

According to the paparazzi agency / celebrity gossip website, Timbaland initially wanted Brown to contribute on a track from his upcoming album, but then decided against him when he saw that people and critics were not yet ready to forget about the February assault. Moreover, the original title of the track made it so that it was completely inappropriate to have someone with Brown’s baggage on it, sources close to Timbaland reveal for the US media.

“Chris Brown was officially dropped from a track on Timbaland’s new album – and sources tell TMZ, the decision wasn’t entirely about the music. A source close to Brown tells TMZ the singer’s vocals were removed from a song called ‘The One I Love’ due to the ‘drama’ surrounding him,” TMZ says. However, the official line is that giving Brown the axe was a creative decision to which both parties agreed on the best of terms, with Timbaland’s management insisting that, “There’s nothing against Chris. We love Chris.”

Nevertheless, there could be more to this than just the official story, TMZ insists after speaking to the artist that got to replace Brown on said track. “According to rapper D.O.E. – who does appear on the track – the song was originally called ‘Maniac’... but was changed because ‘some people’ didn’t think it would be a good idea to attach Brown to a song with that title. Funny enough – Timbaland’s album will be released the same day as Brown’s... December 8th,” TMZ further says.

With Chris Brown or not, Timbaland does have a one major surprise in store for fans, as he’s planning on having Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, the main characters in the “Twilight” saga, feature in one of his upcoming music videos. Whether he’ll actually get Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to star in it is an entirely different matter though, since it’s a known fact the two actors are extremely busy with the “Twilight” franchise these days.
