A new season of VH1’s hit reality show “Celebrity Rehab” remains doubtful, as yet another celebrity has exited production. Tila Tequila, who had been approached with an offer and was supposed to be like the piece de resistance of the show, has been dropped for reasons that have not been disclosed – but which reportedly have a lot to do with the marks from self-inflicted wounds on her arms, Radar Online reports.

Word broke in the media a while back that a new season of the show may not happen because producers simply could not get enough celebrities to agree to appear on it to warrant the name of “Celebrity Rehab.” Shortly after this news broke, VH1 was said to be fervently courting the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Heather Locklear, but eventually settled for the much more “entertaining” (read: scandalous) Tila when these two would not even confirm they had an addiction in the first place.

“Tila Tequila won’t get the Celebrity Rehab treatment, Radar Online has exclusively learned. After being the first to sign onto Dr. Drew Pinsky’s life-saving cable television show, the trouble-prone reality TV star has withdrawn from the program, which is expected to begin filming later this month. ‘No,’ was the simple and short statement Radar Online received from Tila’s management, when we questioned if she was still to appear on the show,” Radar writes.

The departure, it seems, was not what Tila would have wanted but rather the producers’ decision because of the marks the star has on her arms from what is believed to be self-inflicted wounds. As we also informed you a while back, Tila herself once said she suffered from multiple personality disorder and would occasionally wake up from her sleep to find herself bathed in blood and with a knife in her hand – as one of her personalities, Jane, had tried to murder her.

“Her manager refused to go into more detail about the circumstances behind her withdrawal. But Radar Online has learned the show’s producers are not ‘unhappy’ about the decision. The decision follows Radar Online’s revelation that the star was photographed with disturbing cut marks on both her arms. At the time, a medical expert told us the marks were scars and were self-inflicted. ‘These are self-mutilation scars,’ Dr. Joseph Haraszati, who had not treated Tila, told Radar Online. ‘It looks like there are some burn marks too... cutting and burning are a common combination among women’,” the same e-zine further says.
