Released on November 21st 2006 with the thought of showing LucasArts' initiative to create a popular and original game of intellectual properties, Thrillville welcomed enough visitors in only six weeks to make it the year's #1 original children's gaming franchise. Available for the PlayStation2, PSP and Microsoft's Xbox, Thrillville was among the best-selling new IPs rated Teen or younger, according to NPD Group.

Thrillville is a simulation and strategy video game that simulates theme park management. It was developed by Frontier Developments, also developer of the similar theme park game RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. The game includes 100 missions to achieve in 5 different parks, each of which has 3 areas. The game also features a large number of mini-games, like kart racing, FPSs, and scrolling shooters. These can be played in single-player mode and multiplayer mode.

The player can actually interact with park guests making the main purpose of this feature the park's improvement, based on the guests' taste.

"The success of Thrillville proves that kids are looking for engaging new gaming experiences, and we're grateful to see children and their entire families come together to enjoy the product," said Kevin Kurtz, Director of Global Marketing, LucasArts. "Games with great content tend to rise to the top, and Thrillville is no exception. It's also an amazing value, delivering countless hours of the experience of a theme park for less than the price of a single ticket to one."

LucasArts has hinted that more releases will come bearing the Thrillville title, for consoles.
