Apparently, Vodafone is not the only wireless carrier in the UK which would add the new BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone to its offering, as Three UK also confirmed plans to make a similar move.

The new device, unveiled on Monday during the BlackBerry World conference in Orlando, FL, will make an appearance on this wireless carrier's network at an undetermined point in the future.

No specific info on the price tag the new device might sport at the wireless carrier emerged either, but it seems that it would definitely arrive on its shelves.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the new mobile phone was announced with a brand new form factor for BlackBerry smartphones, type&touch.

The phone comes with a 2.8″ capacitive touch screen display that can deliver a VGA (640 x 480 pixel), 287 PPI resolution, complemented by a full, wide QWERTY keyboard and an optical trackpad in a candybar design.

However, this is not the only change it marks when compared to other BlackBerry Bold handsets out there, as it was also packed with better hardware.

The new Bold 9900 arrives on shelves with a 1.2 GHz application processor inside, complemented by 768 MB of RAM, and 8 GB of on-board memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32 GB of additional storage space.

Other specs of the mobile phone would include a 5.0-megapixel photo snapper with flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities.

Moreover, it comes with Built-in GPS / aGPS, Dual-Band Wi-Fi – 802.11 b/g/n at 2.4 GHz and 802.11 a/n at 5 GHz, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR support, as well as with Orientation Sensor (Accelerometer), Digital Compass (Magnetometer), Proximity Sensor.
