Today, Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion announced the release of a new series of BlackBerry Curve handsets running under its BlackBerry 7 OS, and one of them will become available for purchase in the UK on the airwaves of Three UK soon, namely the BlackBerry Curve 9360.

The new Curve handset will join a series of other new BlackBerry smartphones from RIM, including the Bold 9900 or the Torch 9810, both of which were made official only a few weeks ago.

The wireless carrier has already announced plans to make the Curve 9360 smartphone available for purchase for its customers, though they did not offer a specific release date for it. No info on the price tag the device might feature emerged either.

“It’s all go for BlackBerry at the moment. Recently we announced that we’ll be ranging the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and the Torch 9810,” the wireless carrier notes in a blog post.

“BlackBerry have just announced yet another addition to their range, the Curve 9360 and I’m happy to confirm that it’ll also be coming soon to Three.”

The new BlackBerry Curve 9360 comes with a 2.8 inch screen complemented by a BlackBerry QWERTY keypad and also sports a trackpad aimed at making navigation on it simpler than before.

At the same time, the new mobile phone comes with a much faster processor when compared to the other devices that were previously included in RIM's Curve series.

And with the BlackBerry 7 OS loaded on it, the handset can easily offer a great deal of high-end features in an affordable design.

“The phone also features a shortcut key to activate the 5MP camera at the touch of a button – perfect for snaps and video – and if your BlackBerry Curve 9360’s on Three, you’ll be able to upload them onto Facebook or Twitter in the blink of an eye on our 3G network.,” the wireless carrier continues.
