14 DAY TRIAL // Mobile phone carrier Three UK has just made available for purchase on its airwaves a new mobile phone running under Google's Android operating system, namely the Samsung Galaxy Pro, which was announced about a month ago as being on its way to the carrier.
Boasting a candybar form factor, the new device comes with both a touchscreen display and a QWERTY keyboard, expanding the available input methods.
The new device can easily prove a great option for both business and end-users, since it offers a wide range of professional and entertainment features.
On the front, for example, the smartphone packs a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, which complements the aforementioned QWERTY physical keyboard.
The handset also includes a 3-megapixel photo snapper on the back, as well as an 800MHz processor inside, to offer fast performance capabilities.
“We’re very excited about the Samsung Galaxy Pro – it’s great to add new form factors to our range of smartphones. I personally love Samsung’s hubs and being able to offer our customers the Social Hub Premium for free is an added bonus,” Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices, commented.
The specifications list of the new device also includes Google’s Android 2.2 (Froyo) platform, along with support for various Google Mobile services and applications available from the Android Market.
Samsung Galaxy Pro comes with support for 3G networks, as well as with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and with a built-in GPS receiver.
It would boast support for various popular services too, including Instant Messaging, email, access to social networks, and more.
“The Samsung Galaxy Pro also comes with Samsung’s Social Hub Premium for free, allowing people to manage their social lives from one central place,” the wireless carrier explained.
The new Samsung Galaxy Pro can be purchased online from the wireless operator's website here. It was made available on the company's The One Plan for £27 a month. Starting tomorrow, the phone would be available through the carrier's stores too.
