Available from various carriers starting mid-October

Research in Motion has just announced the upcoming availability of BlackBerry Bold 9900, Torch 9860 and Torch 9810 smartphones in the Caribbean region.

All three BlackBerry 7 devices are expected to arrive in stores via carrier partners beginning mid-October.

Details about the phones' release calendar will be announced with RIM’s partners in the coming days.

The release of the three BlackBerry 7 smartphones is part of the largest global launch in RIM's history.

With the next generation BlackBerry 7 mobile platform on board, the new smartphones offer users a faster and smoother web browsing experience, along with improved HTML5 performance for enhanced gaming and video experiences.

BlackBerry fans living in the Caribbean region will be able to choose from a variety of designs with the same level of functionality.

The slimmest BlackBerry smartphone to date, Bold 9900 comes with a generous portrait QWERTY keyboard, allowing for faster and more comfortable texting.

Furthermore, the first full-touch BlackBerry handset, Torch 9860 is delivered with a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors display and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The successor of the popular BlackBerry Torch 9800, the Torch 9810 slider combines a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a brilliant touch display.

Each smartphone is equipped with a single core 1.2 GHz processor and pack 768 MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

In addition, BlackBerry Bold 9900 features integrated NFC (Near Field Communication) support.
