Once again ready to tackle the mobile-computing market, Lenovo has been working on a convertible tablet device that, despite not having been officially announced, is already beginning to poke its head out of hiding. The unit is known as the ThinkPad X201T and is set to be just one in the range of mobile products that the company is planning, if the previously leaked roadmap slides are anything to go by.

The portable device has recently passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). However, the FCC filing only includes the regular test reports, with no mention of the tablet's actual insides. Fortunately, a TechBuy listing delves into the configuration of the X201T.

This particular model is powered by an Intel Core i7-620LM central processing unit (CPU) with the frequency set at 2.0 GHz. The product is designed with a 12.1-inch multi-touch WXGA LED-backlit display, whose maximum resolution is of 1366 x 758. The graphics capabilities are provided by the GMA 5700MHD and the mobile PC also boasts 4GB of DDR3-1066 RAM and a 7200RPM hard drive, whose storage capacity is of 320GB.

Among the various connectivity, Input/Output (I/O) and security capabilities, the Lenovo ThinkPad X201T convertible tablet boasts Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, WiFi, a 5-in-1 card reader and even a fingerprint scanner. The tablet also comes with integrated audio capabilities, a webcam and is powered by an eight-cell battery.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X201T will be running the Windows 7 Professional 32-bit operating system and will be accompanied by a three-year warranty. It is still unclear when exactly the device will become available, especially considering that the product's official introduction has not been made yet. Also, there is no information on the regions where the unit will initially become available. As for the price, the tablet is listed with a tag of no less than $3,718.45.
