Now that the uproar and mixed feelings caused by the launch of the Apple iPad are finally beginning to settle down, the attention of end-users and the media alike is turning back to their original focus. Now that the media is more perceptive, rumors, reports, leaks and hints have again begun to sneak out, such as a stray Lenovo ThinkPad slide, which seems to give out information on the company's plans for future mobile-computer releases.

The folks at Engadget Chinese somehow managed to get their hands on a slide that seems to suggest what product releases the company has planned for 2010, as well as which previous lines they will replace. A version of the same slide made its way out of hiding some time before, which hinted at Lenovo's intention to launch a number of new products, namely the ThinkPad Edge, as well as the T410 and T510. This “latest iteration,” however, seems to imply that the PC vendor has more in store for consumers than it was previously suggested.

The slide includes the L400 and L500. These systems will supposedly replace the “corporate mainstream” R series of systems. This may imply that Lenovo is working on a new chassis design. The slide also includes a reference to a series of new X201 models. It is still unclear what these devices will look like and what performance capabilities they will boast, although it is quite possible that they pose just a “mild numerical change.” If so, the products will only boast a CPU upgrade, with the most likely candidate being a low-voltage Arrandale chip.

Of course, the small leak gives out nothing but a small basis for speculation. The actual plans of the company, as well as the launch dates and prices of the products are still very much unknown.
