NCsoft is ready to celebrate the winter holiday events in all the MMO video games it publishes, inviting players to experience the magic of the season while also taking part in quests that can net them some very interesting rewards.

In Guild Wars, the celebration goes from December 12 to January 2, 2011 with four powerful deities, the life goddess Dwayna, the death god Grenth, Melandru the goddess of Nature and Balthazar who controls war, doing battle over the fate of Wintersday, with players declaring allegiance to one of them and joining in the fight.

Guild Wars is getting special themed decorations, new treats for Wintersday, fights that feature snowballs and a collection of special quests for the duration of the Christmas celebrations.

In City of Heroes, the holiday events are set to start on December 17 and will end on January 3, 2011 with players witnessing the invasion of Lord Winter and his Winter Horde, this time joined by a new apparition, Lady Winter.

Players will be able to get new items linked to the holidays and special powers that can help them in the fight against the Winder horde, like The Holiday Cheer.

Gifts can also be obtained from Gamester, the City of Heroes equivalent of Santa Claus.

In Aion, players will be able to celebrate both Solorius Festival from December 15 to January 5, 2011 and the Year of the Ribbit from December 22 to January 12.

The first event will be built around a hunt for socks stuffed with gifts while the New Year celebrations will include costumers, gifts and a delicious banquet.

In Lineage II, the event is called Winter Wintermelon Woes Whomping Event and will go on from December 14, 2010 to December 28, with players tasked with helping Puss the Cat grow wintermellons that can then be smashed.

There are also special items for all those who take part.

The original Lineage will also get double drops, event bags and decorations from December 22 to January 5.
