Video game developer CD Projekt RED and publisher Warner Bros. announce that they are entering a partnership for the North American distribution of the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Adam Kicinski, the president of CD Projekt, is quoted by AllGamesBeta as saying that, "Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is an extremely valuable partner for us because of their experience and established position on the American market, which is crucial to CD Projekt's further rapid development."

The studio will continue to offer promotion and sales support for the North American market even as Warner Bros. deals with the delivery of retail copies.

Kevin Kebodeaux, a senior vice president of sales at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, adds, "We are very pleased to continue our partnership working with CD Projekt on the Witcher franchise, which aligns with our goals to deliver quality experiences to gamers."

The executive believes that The Witcher 3 is one of the most important games to launch in 2014 and will deliver an improved action role-playing experience.

CD Projekt RED has already announced that the game will be launched at the same time on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

Wild Hunt is named after one of the most catastrophic events of the game's universe, which has a special importance for main character Geralt.

The game will see the protagonist explore his past and the trauma that has driven many of his actions up until now.

The Witcher is no longer engaged in political games and he has to explore his own soul with war as a backdrop in order to fulfill a very personal quest.

Wild Hunt is designed to bring an open world structure for the first time in the series and the development team promises a much larger array of choices and consequences for the player.
