Well, it only got a 6 year start if time has anything to do with it

With all these next-gen consoles floating around nowadays, it's hard to remember that older ones like Sony's PS2, are still keeping their head to the surface. Not only that, but they thrive, with every new game released. Up on CrunchGear, there's an article about the current situation in the gaming world and about the status of each next-gen machine that's trying to win the console war.

They post an analyst's thoughts on the matter. This one says, that Nintendo's inability to produce enough systems to cover demand will bring the console to its knees by 2009, making console buyers go for different systems instead of the Wii. Fair enough, can't say that everybody predicted that one. Quite frankly, I didn't even know that Nintendo had a problem with making more machines. I thought it was the least of their problems. Guess I was wrong.

But then he goes on saying that if Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PS3 don't get some serious titles (serious meaning both numbers and quality), lost sales are most likely to transfer to the PS2 and the handheld from Nintendo, the DS. And we need analysts to figure that one out, do we? Everyone knows that if one console doesn't get enough titles, it will surely lose to another that has a huge titles list. There's no such thing as a PlayStation or a Nintendo exclusive gamer. You're hungry, right? You want fries, but the only store on a 2 mile radius doesn't have them. Do you mean to tell me that some peanut butter will kill you? Don't answer that if you're allergic.
