The development of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D title for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS is nearly complete, but the company will only launch it when "it makes sense."

The Nintendo 3DS is getting ready to be released all over the world by the Japanese company, so you know that Nintendo will make sure that it's going to be a massive success.

In order to do that, the company already confirmed that it's going to release several classic titles, like StarFox 64, Mario Kart or Kid Icarus for it, as well as a 3D version of the iconic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, originally launched for the Nintendo 64 many years ago.

Speaking about Ocarina of Time 3D, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime said that development was nearly complete, but that its release was still a bit far away.

"We've shown off Ocarina Of Time and we're going to release it when it makes most sense," Fils-Aime told GTTV.

"Kid Icarus is not in the launch window. These games are nearly done and development is largely complete. Fans are not going to have to wait very long for these games to come out."

For those that might be wondering why Nintendo is purposely delaying its titles from the initial release of the 3DS, Fils-Aime explains that it's all done to benefit third-party developers and publishers.

"We wanted third parties to really have a dramatic presence in the launch window and we've achieved that."

Fils-Aime has a point, as not a lot of Nintendo fans are going to buy PES 2011 3D or The Sims 3D at $40 a piece after buying a $250 device when they can get Ocarina of Time 3D or Kid Icarus.

The Nintendo 3DS is set to be launched in Japan on February 26, in Europe on March 25, and in North America on March 27, with a lot of games appearing shortly thereafter.
