Alltel Wireless has released for its customers the AX245 mobile phone from LG, a device with a pretty decent list of features wrapped up in a very stylishly designed body and a handset meant to accommodate the user that wants good looks and as much features as possible on a fairly priced cell phone.

The AX245 is a tri-band GPS enabled clamshell working on CDMA 800 MHz, CDMA 1900 MHz and 800 MHz analog. It also sports a VGA camera with flash, wireless Bluetooth technology, a speaker phone, voice dialing, TTY/TTD capability, a BREW 3.1.4 client, all these together with Alltel Axcess services like broadband/mobile link, OTA software updates, web access, picture and text messaging and many others that will make your mobile experience enjoyable and easy.

Related to this handset, Wade McGill, senior vice president of product management from Alltel Wireless, has declared that "this is a sleek clamshell handset that comes loaded with all of the innovative features customers expect from Alltel and LG. We're excited to be the first wireless carrier to make this handset available to customers."

Also, the senior vice president of marketing and product management of LG Electronics MobileComm USA Inc., Jeff Hwang, has said that "LG is thrilled to offer Alltel customers the LG AX245 Bluetooth camera phone. The lustrous design and advanced capabilities of LG's latest handset ensure that Alltel customers are always in touch with friends and family".

The phone will be retailed at a price of 209.99 $ but if you want to sign a two year deal with the Alltel carrier, you can get it for only 59.99 $, after the instant and mail-in rebates of 90 $ and, respectively, 60 $. Not very much considering that this is a phone with enough good looks and features to make you proud you have it in your pocket.
