Tired of reading old style books? Tired of reading them on your personal computer in PDF, DOC, ODT or any other format you might think of? Tired of having to deal with the boring style of writing all the authors seem to have these days?

Your wishes have come true because the Finnish have published a book entirely made out of mobile phone text messages. Now that is vintage writing :).

The book is named "The Last Messages", it is written, so to say, by Hannu Luntiala and the narration refers to an invented Finnish information-technology executive which quits his job and decides to go wondering around in Europe and India. During the whole trip, the only way he keeps contact with his family and friends is through text messages, about 1000 of them.

The SMSs sent by the main character and the replies he gets on the cellphone are listed chronologically in the 332 pages novel and contain the abbreviations and grammatical errors often used by the individuals which send text messages from their mobile phones.

Hannu Luntiala, writer and director of a company keeping track of the people living in Finland, has said: "I believe that, at the end of the day, a text message may reveal much more about a person than you would initially think."

If you fear you won't have the chance to get your hands on this originally written book, fear no more because as the spokeswoman at the Finnish Tammi publishing house, Sari Havukainen, has declared, the novel is going to get translated into other languages so everyone will know of how an SMS flavored book tastes like.
