This December brings good news for the UK mobile market, as the stylish Porsche P9521 becomes available for all those who want an exclusive luxury phone. So if you don't have or don't want a Porsche car (either because you can't afford it or because you're a Ferrari fan), you can at least enjoy the Porsche mobile phone. Its price though is not quite for everyone, as it's expected to hit the UK market for about 500 GPB (which is more than $1,000) via the online retailer Mobilephones24.

Developed by Sagem, the French electronics producer, in collaboration with the Porsche Design team, the P9521 handset is the first mobile phone designed by the German car manufacturer. The handset comes with a stylish look and is made out of special materials like aluminum and mineral glass. Its unique design allows users to open and rotate it by 360 degrees.

Porsche P9521 has a 2.2 inch touch sensitive screen with a 320 x 240 pixel resolution, following the touchscreen trend that grew lately in the global mobile market. The excellent screen together with the built-in MP3 player offer users an exquisite multimedia experience. Furthermore, the phone packs a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto-focus, flash, video and digital zoom, more than enough for taking high quality pictures whenever you want.

Bluetooth connectivity is suported, allowing instant multimedia file sharing, while the EDGE technology provides Internet access at high speeds. Fingerprint recognition is another one of the phone's great features, being able to replace the PIN code.

Porsche P9521 is already available in other countries, like Romania, Egypt or Saudi Arabia, and now it's hitting the UK market to the delight of British luxury mobile fans. North Americans will be able to get the exclusive Porsche phone too, as it becomes available for them in spring 2008.
