That or Kameo. They both "make a lot of sense" as DS titles.

The original concept for the game began as Your Garden in 2002 and eventually evolved into the colorful game everybody knows as Viva Pi?ata. The game was originally going to be designed for the PDA platform but was moved to the Xbox system before finally being developed for the Xbox 360. During development, Microsoft and Rare realized the growing popularity of the project and immediately began searching for licensing partners. They carried on, teaming up with 4Kids Entertainment.

As a result, not only did it become a video game on Microsoft's Xbox 360 console, but also a computer-animated television series produced by 4Kids Entertainment. Plans and new ideas are still on the rise concerning Viva Pi?ata and the latest news is Viva Pi?ata on Nintendo's DS.

In an interview with 1UP, one of Microsoft Game Studios' corporate vice presidents, Shane Kim said: "I think it's fair to say that we're going to continue to invest in that property. Whether that is in the form of a sequel, a product line extension or through merchandising, whatever the case may be, that's something that we're going to stick with," also adding that "a Kameo or a Viva Pi?ata on a DS makes a lot of sense."

Although nothing is yet certain, it looks like Viva Pi?ata, that is by far the best Rare title since Microsoft acquired them, is finally going to be a title for Nintendo's handheld. The player's goal of turning a disused piece of land into a beautiful garden makes the life-sim perfect for DS' two screens and touchscreen feature.
