Bad news for those stuck with a 64 MB unit.

Until now, the limit of download for demo versions on Xbox Live Arcade was 50 MB. Not anymore as the cap has been set at 250 MB, five times more, according to 1UP reporter Luke Smith. If Microsoft approves it, the size can grow up to 450 MB. This is not at all hot news. Konami's "Castlevania Symphony of the Night" has a 97 MB file size and is already well known.

XBLA is an online service operated by Microsoft that is used to distribute video games to Xbox and Xbox 360 owners. So far so good, unless there is more than one version of Xbox out there and some Xbox owners will not benefit from the expanded file size available to purchase. Some earlier versions of Xbox are limited to the saving capacity of 64 MB.

This could mean bad news for those who are stuck with 64 MB memory units but good news for whomever is able to run them. The problem for Core owners not being able to benefit from Microsoft's approval on enlarging the downloadable content for demos to 250 MB, can easily be fixed with MS' soon release of a half-gigabyte memory unit to accommodate the new larger downloads.
